Rome, 15 april 2016 – Alitalia’s aircraft take-off records in March saw 88.3 per cent of its 16,800 operated flights depart on time, confirming the high punctuality standards recorded in previous months. This figure is particularly encouraging because reached despite the operational challenges the Italian airline had to face after the closure of the Brussels Airport following the terrorist attacks and the enhancement of security measures. Moreover, these positive data were not affected by the strike action by French air traffic controllers between 19 and 21 March.
Alitalia's on time performance confirms the company's goal to ensure the best travel experience to its passengers. The Company has made significant investments, mostly at the Rome airport, to speed up boarding and disembarking from aircraft and to ensure the best assistance to all travelers transiting on Alitalia's Fiumicino hub.
