Flight arrangements are being made by Alitalia for eligible voters residing in Italy on the occasion of a referendum on 17 April, 2016. The Italian airline will be making available discount return tickets for passengers who need to travel to their polling station. Alitalia has renewed its agreement with the Italian Interior Ministry this year to facilitate travel at the forthcoming referendum.
Alitalia is offering reductions of 40% up to a maximum of 40 € on the basic price for return flight tickets, excluding taxes. Passengers are required to show their polling card both at check-in and at the boarding gate.
On return flights, passengers must produce their polling cards regularly stamped and dated by the polling station.
Passengers must buy tickets before 17 April and must travel between 10 and 24 April. Reservations may be made at the Alitalia Customer Center on (+39) 89.20.10 or in travel agencies.
