Patients benefit of a 50% reduction on Economy Class domestic round trip tickets (excluding taxes and promotional fares). Ticket booking and purchasing can be made directly through the dedicated hospital service following the reservation of the medical appointment.
The same reduction may be extended to an accompanying person, provided they travel together. In case of modification of the hospital appointment, both before and after the departure, patients will be allowed to change the reservation dates without penalty.
The rates are connected to the medical treatment schedule and cannot be applied to routes subject to tender in territorial continuity.
Safety Card for blind people
Alitalia is the first airline to introduce a Safety Briefing Card with 3D figures for blind and partially sighted passengers. The document was developed in collaboration with ENAC and the National Federation of Pro-Blind Institutions.
The bas-relief representations represent all safety elements: the location of the emergency exits, the design of the cabin, the positions to adopt in case of an emergency, as well as safety belt, life jacket and oxygen mask instructions.
The text is in Braille (Italian and English) characters, with tactile readable figures for the blind and with the requirements of readability and contrast of colors for the visually impaired.
The Safety Briefing Card is available on all medium-haul flights operated by Airbus and Embraer aircrafts, on board which blind and visually impaired passengers receive personalized information from the cabin crew.
